Spectrum Resource Group Inc. is recruiting for a Forestry Block Layout Crewleader. The Forestry Block Layout Crewleader will be responsible for safely delivering timber consulting and forestry management operations. This includes responsibilities such as enforcement of Spectrums OH&S systems and policy manual, daily communication and mentorship with crew leaders and field staff, client correspondence and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will bring a proven ability to lead and direct their crews to conduct the work required in a fast paced and changing environment, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of perfectionism in data entry. As a Block Layout Crewleader, you will have an excellent knowledge of timber harvesting operations, cutblock design, and associated riparian and ecological management strategies. You will be responsible for enabling your crews to be ready for work each day this includes tailgate meetings, ensuring that equipment is provided and in good working order and the crew is informed of daily activities, as well as the over arching contract plan. Spectrum Resource Group Inc. is seeking Wildland Contract Firefighting- Type 3 Crew Members for the 2022 Wildfire Season. Location: Primarily BC, but potential for AB Project Term: Full time, contract Shift Schedule: Deployments can be up to 14 days / up to 12-hour days. Wage: $19.00-$20.50 per hour. Spectrum is also offering a $100.00 bonus per crew member for each deployment they successfully complete (Minimum ten day deployment - deployment length will be based on BCWFS requirements). Bonus incentive will be paid upon completion and included in following pay as per usual payroll schedule. We are currently recruiting Wildland and Structure Protection Firefighters for the 2022 fire season and welcome experienced applicants to apply as Type II and Structure Protection Firefighters. Individuals must pass a fitness test required for the position. Wildland Firefighters (Type II) Type II (T2) Wildland Fire Fighters are guaranteed work crews (min. 80 days/fire season). These crews meet national standards and can be exported to other jurisdictions in Canada. They have a higher level of experience, certifications, and fitness.
